Western and Central Illinois, Southeast Iowa Aeromedical Transport

Founded in 2000 and supported by the communities we serve, Quad City Helicopter EMS, doing business as MedForce Aeromedical Transport, is a Non-Profit Aeromedical Transport Company based in Colona, Illinois and West Burlington, Iowa. We are proud to provide rapid, safe, and competent emergency medical helicopter transport from hospitals and EMS agencies in Eastern Iowa, West-Central Illinois and portions of Northeast Missouri to regional tertiary care facilities.

In conjunction with our aviation vendor, Metro Aviation, our experienced and knowledgeable flight crews, consisting of Specialized Critical Care Trauma Nurses and Critical Care Paramedics, utilize the most modern air medical equipment available. We operate from our service from two base locations. MedForce 1 is located in Colona, Illinois and MedForce 2 operates from Great River Medical Center in West Burlington, Iowa. Both bases are equipped with a helicopter staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, with a Pilot, Flight Nurse and Flight Paramedic.

While none of us ever expect to be in a situation where we or a loved one will need to be transported by an air ambulance, the reality is that it could and does happen. Seconds can make the difference during a stroke, heart attack, serious car accident, or other trauma. The last thing you should be concerned with during such an emergency is air transportation costs.
